My name is Jason Hall. I live in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. For the last 15 or so years, I have been working as a technical writer, instructor of technical writing,  web and graphic designer. I prepare industry-relevant user manuals and training materials for a great variety of industries from law enforcement to inventory management to health care software products.

This site is organized like this:

  • Writing – “I write on technical subjects to make them transparent to its readers”
  • Design – Creating things is an intrinsic and irrepresible thing I do. In the technical field, I excel at template design, documentation development and, of course, graphic design.
  • Collaboration – More recently, I’ve become interested in the environmental concerns. I am starting to research various green initiatives that I can align myself with and eventually bring my skills in documentation and training to.

Technical résumé

In a previous incarnation, I worked as an orchestral musician and in many ways still see myself as a musician. I play clarinet and occasionally write music for different ensembles.
