Résumé and Professional Biography

With over 15 years building a career as a writer and instructor to clients including BCIT, SAP, Webtech Wireless, WorkSafeBC and Health Canada, I have learned the art of simplifying complex ideas.

I’ve started my IT career training corporate clients to use software more effectively. have moved on to writing end-user documentation, and more recently designing training and teaching courses on technical writing and writing for the web. I currently teach at BCIT and recently presented for the Editors’ Association of Canada.

Music CV and Artistic Biography

My love of music and creative endeavours has been the inspiration for many ventures. I gained my degree in music (University of Toronto) and went on to play in symphony orchestras across Canada (including the Vancouver Symphony). More recently, I’ve started playing jazz and Balkan music—both genres requiring strong improvisational skills. I play clarinet and tárogató (Hungarian clarinet).

While classical music draws its strength from order and discipline, improvisation teaches trusting your instincts and spontaneity. They both require awareness and collaboration.
